Poll Settings - Custom Branding

Learn about the various customization tools for Poll Experiences to customize the look and feel for your Poll.

The Custom Branding tab under the green Settings tab contains settings related to customizing the look and feel of your Poll including its Title, Custom Logo, Custom Backgrounds, and Custom User Interface Colors for the Presentation View and Participant View.

Poll Name & Description

This area lets you update the Name and Description of your Poll. The name of your Poll is shown on both the Presentation View and the Participant View; however, the Description will only be shown on the Participant View.

To edit the Name and Description, simply click on the respective fields and update the text(s), which will save automatically.

The Poll's Description will show in smaller text under the Experience Title.

Custom Logo

If you're a Classroom Plan subscriber or higher, one of Crowdpurr's premium features is uploading your own Custom Logo that replaces the default Crowdpurr logo throughout the entire Crowdpurr app!

Presentation View Background

Conference Plan members and above can upload their own Custom Backgrounds to both the Presentation View and the Participant View. Click in the Upload Custom Background area to search your computer for your background image, or drag and drop the file straight onto the area. This will open it in the Custom Background Area, where you can crop it, if necessary.

To select the background for the Presentation View, open a Presentation View from the Crowd Views. Click on the gray Settings (gear) button in the bottom-right corner of the Presentation View as displayed on the right.

If it is not appearing, move your mouse cursor onto the Presentation View. It will faintly appear in the bottom right corner, next to the Fullscreen button. Click on it to bring up the Presentation View Settings panel.

You can use any of our pre-made backgrounds for any Experience type. You can also choose a custom color by using the color selector. If you know the hexadecimal code for your color, you can use that as well.

Click the green Save (checkmark) button, and your Custom Background will immediately show up on your Presentation View. If you chose the wrong file by mistake, click the blue Cancel (X) button to remove it. Then, select the correct one.

Set Custom URL

Conference Plan users and above can set up a custom URL. On the left-hand side of the window at app.crowdpurr.com, click My Experiences. Then along the top, click on the Custom URL tab. That page will help guide you through setting up your own URL, rather than using the default crowd.live URL.

Participant View Background

To set the background in the Participant View, open a Participant View from the Crowd Views. Click on the Settings (gear) button in the bottom-right corner of the Participant View to bring up the Participant View Settings panel.

Next, click in the Upload Custom Background area to search your computer for your background image, or drag and drop the file straight onto the area. This will open it in the Custom Background area, where you can crop it, if necessary.

Conference Plan users and above can also set custom colors for different user interface elements affecting the Participant View such as:

  • Sign In Button

  • Submit Answer Button

  • Continue Playing Button

  • New Participant Button

  • Sending Pop-up Panel

  • Received Pop-up Panel

Set Custom Button Colors

Conference Plan members and above can completely customize the color of their answer buttons in Polls and Trivia Games. To do this, go to the light blue Questions tab, and select a question to adjust.

Click an answer's Edit (pencil) button to bring up its Edit panel and select a color. All members can use any of our pre-selected colors on the left side. To choose any other color, Conference Plan and higher members can enter a hexadecimal code for their chosen color, or find a suitable one with the Color Picker tool. Simply click into the box labeled Set Custom Color to bring it up. Click the blue Apply (checkmark) button after you've selected the color to apply it.

How can I match all of my question-and-answer option colors? If you need all of your questions to use the same colors for their answers, you can set that up with the push of a button! Once you've set up all of your colors on any question, you can use the Copy Answer Colors button under the Edit Question panel. Click the green Edit (pencil) button at the top of the page, to the right of your question. Then, click the magenta Copy Answer Colors (eyedropper) button, as displayed below.

The Edit Question panel will close, and a green notification will pop up saying, "Done! This question's answer colors have been applied to all other questions."

Check through the rest of your questions, and you'll find the colors have all been applied!

Custom Popup Ads & Custom Lower Banner Ads

Convention Plan users can also upload their own Custom Popup Ad and Lower Banner Ad to be displayed throughout a Poll. Popup Ads and Lower Banner Ads are excellent ways to promote event sponsors, brand partners, your own in-house promotions, and/or any type of promotion.

Click in the upload area of the Popup Ads box to search your computer for your popup ad, or drag and drop the file straight onto the area. This will open it in the Custom Popup Ads area, where you can crop it, if necessary.

Click in the upload area of the Lower Banner Ad box to search your computer for your popup ad, or drag and drop the file straight onto the area. This will display the image in the Lower Banner Ad area, where you can crop it, if necessary.
