Crowdpurr allows you to combine the scores of multiple Trivia Games and Bingo Games within one live cumulative ranking and leaderboard view. You can leverage this feature to create multi-dimensional trivia Experiences that can include multiple scoring rounds, and bonus rounds or you can even conduct a multi-session trivia game that lasts over the course of several days at a week-long event such as a conference.
How Multi-Game Rankings Scores Are Calculated
Scoring Mode | Calculation Format |
Points Mode | The Multi-Game Rankings view displays a cumulative points score for each player across every game that is added to the Multi-Game Rankings section below. |
Percentage Mode | The Multi-Game Rankings display the player's overall correct answer percentage and cumulatively calculate their percentage across all selected Trivia Experiences. |
Configuring Multi-Game Trivia Rankings
From the green Settings tab on the Experience Dashboard, click the Trivia Format (or Bingo Format) heading where the Multi-Game Rankings section is located. Under the Add Trivia & Bingo Games header, you can click to enable each Trivia Experience you want to be included in your cumulative Multi-Game Trivia Rankings. Only the Trivia Experiences you select will be added to the overall Multi-Game Trivia Rankings.

Enabling Multi-Game Rankings View
By default, Crowdpurr shows the Live Rankings and Leaderboard of the current Trivia game when you enable Show Live Rankings on the Experience Dashboard by pressing the R-key on your keyboard or clicking on the Show Rankings (R) button on the Experience Dashboard. By default, this updates both the Presentation View and Participant View with the current game's scores and Rankings Leaderboard.
After you add additional Trivia Games to the Multi-Game Rankings section, the blue Show Multi-Game Rankings (M) button under Viewer Controls will light up to indicate this view is available for the Experience.
Show Multi-Game Rankings is available to toggle
Upon clicking on the Show Multi-Game Rankings (M) toggle, this will instantly update the rankings with the Multi-Game Rankings on the Presentation View, Participant View, and the yellow Rankings tab on the Experience Dashboard. You can also press the M on your keyboard to quickly enable this view.
This setting is also listed under the pop-up configuration menu on the Presentation View. You can toggle this setting off and on at any time using the keyboard shortcut or any of the toggle switches.
Show Multi-Game Rankings (M) enabled on the Presentation View
Upon switching questions, the Multi-Game Rankings view will automatically turn off and must be re-enabled in order to show the Multi-Game Rankings again.
Create Trivia Rounds & Multi-Day Trivia Events
Creating multiple trivia rounds that each have their separate score, but also have a cumulative overall score can be easily achieved by following these steps:
- Create a Separate Trivia Experience for each "round." First, create a separate Trivia Experience for each round and name the Trivia Experience accordingly. (e.g. "Trivia Round 1", "Trivia Round 2", "Trivia Bonus Round", etc.)
- Input Questions Into Each Experience. Build your round of questions and answers into each Trivia Experience.
- Link Separate Trivia Games Under Multi-Game Rankings. In each Trivia Game's green Settings tab, enable the additional Trivia Experiences you want to include in the overall scoring in the Multi-Game Trivia Rankings settings. In this example, you would add all of the above trivia round Experiences we created so that they are included in the Multi-Game Trivia Rankings.
Now, when you play through each Trivia Game, you can show the current round's score by enabling Show Rankings Leaderboard (R). You can then show the overall multi-round score, by enabling Show Multi-Game Rankings (M). In this example, you could play through each trivia round (i.e. Trivia Experience) until the last question. Then you could show the final score of this round and then the overall multi-game cumulative score. Or you could save the overall score until the end of the final round and skip configuring and enabling Multi-Game Rankings on the early trivia rounds and only use it for the final round.
Connecting Players To Different Trivia Rounds Easily
Next, use the Next Round feature to easily "move" your current and future players from one Trivia Round/Experience to another. This feature lets you select any of your other Experiences (i.e. Trivia Rounds) to instantly move your players. Upon reaching the end of one Trivia Round/Experience and showing the final score for the round (Show Rankings - R) and the overall score (Multi-Game Trivia Rankings - M), you can then trigger the Next Round to automatically move your players to the next round without requiring them to enter in a new Experience Code or Crowd URL.
Upon triggering your Next Round, all of your players will instantly load the Experience you select which would be the Trivia Experience that is your next round of Trivia. Your Experience Dashboard and Presentation View (if open) will also instantly update and load the selected Experience. You can then press the Start button on the newly loaded Experience and your players will start playing the next round of Trivia.
To set the Next Round:
- Locate the upper-right corner of the Experience Dashboard.
- Click the Edit button next to the Next Round label
- Select the Trivia Game from the dropdown you want to move your players and yourself to. Your Next Round is now set. The Go to Next Round button is now active. You may also choose to edit the Tournament Settings in order to create bracket-style tournaments where only top-ranking players advance.
- When you're ready to move your participants, click the Go To Next Round button. Then confirm the move in the pop-up pane.
- Proceed with your next trivia round.
You can repeat this process for each round of trivia you created including bonus rounds, etc. You can even set the Next Round to be an exit Poll/Survey, Social Wall. For Premium Plan users, the Next Round can even be set to an External URL.
When a Next Round is set, it's permanent and will remain until they are manually reset or your various Experiences are reset. The Next Round setting is permanent so any future players (e.g. late players) that join your original Experience (e.g. Trivia Round 1) will automatically catch up to where you are currently at in your game (i.e. they'll be moved automatically to the current round). Upon resetting all of your Trivia Round Experiences, all Next Rounds will automatically be removed.

Showing Overall Final Scores
You would display your overall final multi-round score, rankings leaderboard, and winners by loading your final Trivia Round Experience that has every other Trivia Round Experience added to its Multi-Game Trivia Rankings settings box, and enabling Show Rankings Leaderboard (R) and then enabling Show Multi-Game Rankings (M). Because of the final Trivia Round Experience's configuration, it would be showing the overall final high-scoring players on the leaderboard.
Creating a trivia game with multiple rounds is fun and exciting, but it does require some advanced configuration and practice. Be sure to rehearse ahead of time the various operations of enabling switching questions, enabling Show Rankings, enabling Multi-Game Rankings, and triggering Next Rounds for the most effective presentation.
Exporting Multi-Game Rankings
Upon upgrading to any of our Premium Plans, you can also export the Multi-Game Rankings as a CSV file that you can open in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Simply click the pink Export Multi-Game Player Rankings button to export the rankings as a CSV file spreadsheet.
