Welcome to the Getting Started with Crowdpurr Trivia tutorial. This tutorial will quickly walk you through every step you need to learn how to create, edit, run and reset a Crowdpurr Trivia Game for your audience. We recommend going through each step of the tutorial but you may also skip ahead by using the links in the column to the left.
Creating Your First Trivia Game
| To create a Trivia Game, simply click on the + Create Experience link from the left-hand navigation column or click on the red Get Started button if you don't have any Experiences created just yet. This will open the Create New Experience page, which lists all of the Experience Types that are available to you on Crowdpurr. |
You're allowed to create as many Experiences as your plan's Experience Limit allows. The Experience Limit refers to the number of simultaneous Experiences you can create and run at the same time. For example, the free Basic Plan allows you to create up to 3 Experiences for free.
Polls have questions that have no correct answer and simply ask opinion-based questions. Meanwhile, Trivia Game questions will have a correct answer that your crowd will try to select successfully. Don't worry, if you accidentally created a Poll instead of a Trivia game, or vice-versa. Simply click on My Experiences and remove the Poll Experience you don't want, and create a new Trivia Game Experience instead.
Selecting a Trivia Game Type to Create
First, click on the blue Create button under the purple Countdown Trivia box. This will create a Trivia Game where your crowd must answer correctly as fast as possible to earn more points. Players will then be ranked based on how many overall points they have earned.
Each type of Trivia Game shown under the Create New Experience list is just a shortcut to quickly set up that type of trivia game. You can always reconfigure a Trivia Game type after creating it. You do not need to start over. All Trivia Game settings are configurable under the green Settings tab on the Experience Dashboard.
After clicking Create, you will be taken to the Experience Wizard which will walk you through some initial settings such as how many questions you want, the Crowdpurr Trivia Library, and the Experience Playback Mode.
