Before we run your Trivia Game, let's open up the Participant View to see what your crowd will see on their mobile devices and also play along when we test our Trivia Game shortly. You can open up the Participant View on an actual mobile device (e.g. your mobile phone, your tablet, etc.) or you can open up the mobile client on a web browser tab on your desktop computer, laptop, or iMac. All devices are supported.

What is the Participant View? The Participant View simply refers to the version of your Trivia Game that your crowd will see on their mobile devices. This is what your crowd uses to sign in and play your Trivia Game. You can see and experiment with this ahead of your actual event in order to ensure everything is working to your expectations.

To open the Participant View, do one of the following:

From the Experience Dashboard

This is the easiest way to test your Trivia Game while still working in the Experience Dashboard as you edit your game. Simply click on the large blue Participant View button in the Crowd Views area of your Experience Dashboard. This button will open a test Participant View browser window on your desktop or laptop computer that you can use to test out the Experience as this window simulates how the Trivia Game will look on smaller mobile devices.

During your actual event, your crowd will access your Trivia Game using the following mobile device instructions.

On Your Mobile Device

Open up your mobile browser (e.g. Safari, Chrome, etc.) on your mobile device (e.g. smartphone, tablet, etc.), and in the URL field, type "crowd.live" where you will be asked to Enter A Code. Simply enter the five-digit Trivia Game Code for your Trivia Game from the Experience Dashboard.

In this example, our code is LPBSK as shown on the Experience Dashboard. Your Experience Code will be different. Please refer to your Experience Dashboard.

What is a Trivia Game Code? The Trivia Game Code (also known as Experience Code) is a random five-digit code automatically generated for each Experience you create. It's your Trivia Game's unique ID that allows your audience to enter your Trivia Game. If you're a Seminar Plan subscriber or higher, you can customize these codes to be any word or identifier you want. (e.g. TRIVIAGAME5, COMPANYTRIVIA, LEVEL2QUIZ, etc.)

Signing Into Your Trivia Game from the Participant View

Once you have opened the Participant View, it will ask you to enter a Nickname. By default, a nickname is needed as a minimum from each player to join your Trivia Game for players to be displayed on the Live Rankings Leaderboard.

What other lead capture data can I capture? Aside from collecting a Nickname from your participants, you can also collect additional Crowd Lead Capture fields like Email Address and Phone Number, which are available to all users for free!

Can I collect custom lead capture information? One of the features available on our Seminar Plan and higher is collecting and exporting Custom Lead Capture Data from your players such as Name of College, Employee ID, or any other custom information you'd like them to fill out.

When the Participant View window opens, enter a Nickname into the first field. Next, click the blue Join button. The Participant View will update to say, "Game Will Begin Shortly." Each player's Participant View will be in a holding state until you start your Trivia Game.
