The Presentation View for your Trivia Game is a centralized display that your entire crowd sees at your event. This view automatically shows all the details of your Trivia Game like the Active Question, the live Answer Results, and the Live Rankings, and also displays the instructions and URL on how your crowd can access your Trivia Game on their mobile devices.

Your crowd uses the Presentation View to "follow along" while using their mobile device to play.

For more information on the Presentation View, please visit the following article - Presentation View Explained

Do I have to use the Presentation View? No, your Trivia Game will still work even if you don't display the Presentation View. All the information needed for your audience to play is on the Participant View on their mobile devices such as game instructions, questions, answers, rankings, etc.

However, the Presentation View also shows real-time answer results, the correct answer, and the live rankings in a large-format presentation view (similar to Keynote or PowerPoint), which is beneficial for your audience to follow on one centralized screen.

Launch the Presentation View

To open the Presentation View click on the large purple Presentation View button under the Crowd Views heading on the Experience Dashboard. The Presentation View will open in a new browser tab. This browser tab can be detached and then dragged to the projected desktop of your computer.

Set the Presentation View to Full-Screen Mode

After opening the Presentation View in a new browser tab, you can detach the browser tab and move it to an "extended desktop" area on your computer that is connected to a projector, HDTV, or another display source. These are often connected to your computer's external display ports via HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc.

Check out Connecting Crowdpurr to a Projector or HDTV for more information on displaying the Presentation View to a projector or HDTV at your event.

Once the external device is showing the Presentation View's browser tab, click the Full-Screen button in the lower-right-hand corner of the Presentation View. This will put the Presentation View into full-screen presentation mode.

Your audience can now see the QR Code, URL, and instructions for joining your Trivia Game. Once they've joined, they can now use the Presentation View to follow along with your Trivia Game. The Presentation View will show appropriate messages based on your Trivia Game's status such as when it is in the Ready state, the Live state, or the Finished state. It also shows the Active Question, Live Answer Results (A), Correct Answer (C), Question Notes (N), and the Rankings Leaderboard (R).

For best practice, you should do this bit of setup before your audience arrives at your event so guests can view the Presentation View and prep to join your Experience.
