Crowdpurr allows you to edit and remove participants that join your Experiences. You may find it useful to update a participant's lead capture information such as Nickname or Email Address. You can even switch a player to a different Advanced Team when using the Advanced Team Mode for Team Trivia.
Additionally, you can remove a participant from your Experience. You may want to do this for a variety of reasons such as the following:
If the participant joined your Experience without permission
If a participant responds with profanity to Text Answer questions
If a player chose a vulgar nickname
Or for a variety of other reasons that may prompt a participant to be removed from the Experience
Editing Existing Participants
First, locate the purple Leads tab on the Experience Dashboard, then click on the Participants section. This table lists all of the participants in your Experience. You can also use the Search bar to search for a participant by name, team, or any lead capture input field.
To edit a participant, click the blue Edit Participant button with the pencil and paper icon under the Edit? column to the right of the row.
Participants list under the Leads tab
Upon clicking the Edit Participant button, an Edit Participant form will appear and allow you to update the participant's lead capture fields. Enter any updates and then save changes by clicking the green Save button. This will update the Experience Dashboard, Presentation View, and all Participant Views.

Removing Existing Participants
If you wish to completely remove a participant from your Experience, click the red circular Remove Participant (trash) button on the right side of the player's name.

Remove Participant? confirmation module
After confirming you'd like to remove the selected participant, this will completely remove the participant's responses, scores, and rankings from the Experience.
Removing a participant removes all of their responses, scores, and data! This cannot be undone, so please be careful. Upon clicking this, the participant will be removed and logged out of the Experience.
Removing a Participant From All Experiences
Enabling the Remove From All Experiences? checkbox when removing a participant will remove that participant from all Experiences they have participated in. This is useful when you know you have a participant you no longer want to be a part of any of the Experiences they've joined (e.g. in a multi-game trivia configuration). This removes the participant from all Experiences they've joined.
Remove From All Experiences option
Can participants remove their own participant accounts? In the Lead Capture Settings section, Crowdpurr gives you the option to enable or disable a setting called Allow Participants to Remove.
Enabling this setting allows your players to remove all the personal data they've submitted to your Experience and is useful if your Experience must comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
For more information, please check out the following page: Advanced Participant Settings
Does removing participants ban them? How do I ban participants permanently? Removing a participant simply logs them out of your Experience and removes their response data (e.g. votes, answers, rankings, etc.) They will still be free to log in and create a new player.
It's difficult to truly "ban" a participant as they can always refresh their browser, switch to a new device, etc. If you want to truly ban participants, we recommend using the VIP Guest List feature to regulate access to your Experience. If you remove a participant from the VIP Guest List and then remove the participant using the above method, they will not be able to join again.
