Crowdpurr is often used to add crowd interactivity to formal presentations that are delivered to the audience using popular presentation software like PowerPoint (Windows) and Keynote (Mac). While Crowdpurr cannot be directly inserted into a PowerPoint or Keynote slide without a third-party plugin, there are options and strategies for using Crowdpurr alongside PowerPoint and Keynote.
The Crowdpurr Presentation View is the central large-scale visual reference shown via a projector or HDTV screen to your audience. In addition to using their mobile devices to interact, your crowd can use the Presentation View as a reference to follow along and see additional information like Trivia Game Rankings, the Crowd URL used to connect to your Experience, etc.
The Presentation View Web Page
The Presentation View is simply a web page shown in "fullscreen mode" in a web browser (Google Chrome recommended). So integrating Crowdpurr's Presentation View into PowerPoint or Keynote is the same as integrating a web browser into PowerPoint or Keynote. Neither PowerPoint nor Keynote officially supports embedding a live web page into a slide, so alternative strategies must be considered.
Crowdpurr is currently researching the best way to use our platform with Keynote and PowerPoint and will be publishing official help videos on how to do this in the near future. For now, please review the below options that our customers have used successfully in the past.

Switching Between PowerPoint/Keynote and the Presentation View
The first option is to forego embedding the Presentation View web browser within your slides and simply switch between your presentation app and the web browser showing the Presentation View. Please check out the following YouTube videos to learn more.

The above solution works best if you put the Presentation View into "fullscreen mode" first (by clicking the button in the lower right-hand corner of the Presentation View) and then start your PowerPoint presentation. We recommend Google Chrome.
Seamless Switching Between Keynote and a Web Browser
The above solution works best if you put the Presentation View into "fullscreen mode" first (by clicking the button in the lower right-hand corner of the Presentation View) and then start your Keynote presentation. We recommend Google Chrome.
A smooth transition between Keynote and Google Chrome can also be achieved using the Keyboard Maestro keystroke software for Mac. The software can be configured to pause Keynote and activate OS X's app switcher by overriding the CMD+H keyboard shortcut. This creates a very quick transition between Keynote and Google Chrome. The "Always show toolbar in full screen" setting must be turned off in Chrome to get the Presentation View to display full-screen.
