For Seminar Plan users or higher, participants can be verified beyond their Email or Phone Number. A VIP Guest List can use a Custom Lead Capture Field such as the following:
- A ticket number
- Employee ID
- Twitter/Instagram handle
- Any unique custom field you'd like
Using this feature, you can require that your participants possess a ticket number, Employee ID, or any other custom unique field to gain access to your Trivia Game or other Experience Type. Here are a few examples:
Custom Ticket Numbers
Ensure only paid participants join your event using their purchased ticket number. As participants pre-register or purchase a ticket for your event on your ticketing website, registration page, Facebook group, etc. you can add their ticket number to the VIP Guest List. Then when participants join your trivia game or Experience, they must input their ticket number to gain access.
Employee IDs
Make sure only the employees of your company gain access to your Experience by simply importing a list of employee IDs from a spreadsheet into your VIP Guest List. Then as each participant joins, they must enter their employee ID. The employee ID must be on the VIP Guest List you previously set up in order to gain access.
Secure Entry Codes
You can add security to your event to ensure each participant may only join and vote once for a secure poll by generating a list of arbitrary unique codes using a spreadsheet. Then, you can assign and distribute one unique code per participant. When participants join your secure poll, they must enter their assigned unique code. You can configure entry codes to only be used once, thus not allowing additional usage by other participants to prevent sharing of entry codes.
Add A Custom Lead Capture Field
Leads Capture Settings section
First, add a custom field lead capture field for the VIP Guest List to use on the Experience Dashboard using the purple Crowd Leads tab and under the Lead Capture Settings section.
Enable any of the custom fields under the Add Custom Fields section. Then edit the field to your liking. In our example, we'll use Custom Field 1 and edit it to require players to input their Employee ID setting the Input Type to Text.

Once you click the blue Save button, the custom field will be saved and ready to use in the VIP Guest List.
Add Custom Field to VIP Guest List
Click on the VIP Guest List section of the purple Leads tab.

Under Choose VIP Guest List Field, select the third option to enable the Custom Field dropdown list. The Custom Field dropdown list has been populated with the Custom Field that has just been added. Select the Employee ID option as the VIP Guest List Field. This makes the VIP Guest List check against the custom field that was added versus using the Email or Phone Number lead capture fields.

Add Entries to the VIP Guest List
After setting the Employee ID as the VIP Guest List's Custom Field, you can now add actual VIP guest entries. Instead of using the default Email or Phone Number, added VIP Guest entries will use the newly created custom field. To continue the example, several Employee IDs will be added as VIP Guest entries to check against each participant's inputted Employee ID.
To add new VIP Guest entries, click on the blue Edit VIP Guests button to the right of the VIP Guest List, as displayed on the right. |
Next, type in each VIP Guest entry, which would be each employee's Employee ID for this example. Several example Employee IDs are added below. Click Save to add these VIP Guest entries to the VIP Guest List.

Enable VIP Guest List
After adding VIP Guest entries, enable the VIP Guest List by toggling the VIP Guest List Enabled switch to On. To temporarily disable or bypass the VIP Guest List verification without removing your VIP Guest List entirely, disable the VIP Guest List Enabled setting and it will be ignored by your Experience's Participant View sign-in page.

Participant Sign-In
After enabling the VIP Guest List, participants must enter an input that matches one of your VIP Guest entries or they will not gain access to your trivia game or experience.
If the participant is not on the VIP Guest List, they will receive a red error message informing them that their Employee ID does not have access to join.

If the participant is on the VIP Guest List, they will be allowed to join.
