Upon upgrading to a Premium Plan in Crowdpurr, we keep your credit card payment method securely on file to make future upgrades easier and process ongoing Monthly and/or Yearly Plan renewals. Your credit card details are always encrypted and we never store your actual credit card numbers, expiration date, etc.
If you need to update your payment method such as to change the credit card that gets processed or if you're a returning customer and need to use a new credit card for an upgrade, you'll simply need to update your payment settings.
Update Payment Settings
You can update your payment information in two places:
- My Profile page
- Plans page
From the My Profile page, click on the Plan & Billing tab.
This tab will display the following information:
- Your current plan & its pricing
- The date your plan will downgrade or when the next automatic renewal payment will occur
- Invoices and receipts for past upgrades
- Payment Methods box where you can update and/or add a payment method
Removing and Adding a New Card
Under the Payment Methods section, you will see your current credit card type, the last 4 digits, and the expiration date. To remove the credit card, simply click on the red Remove button. Alternatively, you can also add a new card to your Crowdpurr account by clicking the black Add New Card button and filling out the new card information.
Setting a Default Payment Method
If you've added multiple cards and would like to select a default payment method to use for upgrades, you can simply click on the yellow Star icon to mark this payment method as the default one.
Once you've specified the new credit card, your next renewal or upgrade payment will automatically be paid using the set default card.
Updating an Existing Payment Method
You can also update your payment information via the Plans page located on the left navigation bar. You can do this at any time such as when you're about to upgrade to a new or a higher-level Premium Plan, or any time before your current Premium Plan downgrades. Click on the Upgrade Plan button, or the Edit Current Plan button if you already have a current Premium Plan.
Under Pay With Default Card, you'll now see the same default card selected from the My Profile page. Click on the green Edit Card button with a pencil icon to enter the new payment information. If you're upgrading to a higher-level plan, be sure to finalize this process by clicking the green Pay Now button to upgrade!
